The Ray Mears Leather Silky Fox Pocketboy Outback Saw Sheath has been designed specifically to accommodate the Silky Fox Pocketboy Outback Saw on your belt and for those who prefer a leather sheath.

This saw sheath features a broad belt loop spacious enough to accommodate belt widths up to 6cm. Inside the sheath the top line of the belt loop stitching is recessed in a channel to protect it from the saw’s raised logo. The hand-stitched seam around the outer edge of the sheath is protected by a welt which also supports the saw inside the sheath. Both these features are carefully designed to aid in longevity of the sheath. A penetrating wax finish adds a protective mellow lustre.

Hand-made from start to finish, this is a durable, high-quality product which is sure to keep your saw protected and close at hand. As with many of our leather goods, the sheath comes embossed with the exclusive Ray Mears 'Snowshoe' logo.

All of our leather goods are hand-made in England by a craftswoman with over three decades of experience. All leathers are vegetable tanned with full, natural grain, and are hand-dyed in house to the unique Woodlore colour.

The fit and finish on this sheath is excellent. Top quality leather with a beautiful wax oil treatment. Becky’s work is meticulous. The sheath tapers at the bottom and provides a very balanced fit for security and ease of withdrawal. Once the saw is in it will not drop out (even if held upside down and shaken) but can be withdrawn without difficulty. I have two of these. One for the Silky saw and the other takes my Cold Steel AD10 folding lock knife. I have different saw blades and fit a fine blade for deer stalking to split the sternum and the knife for the gralloch. Using a folder enables much easier and safer insertion and withdrawal of the knife. No nicks on expensive smocks/jackets when it’s dusk and you are going by 'feel'. These sheaths work very well with the Casstrom dangler clip. You can remove the saw and knife off your belt for driving or the pub and don’t need to faff with your belt. Highly recommended. Will last a lifetime.
