The Silky Fox Pocketboy Outback Saw is one of a new line of folding saws from Silky Fox. They have been designed specifically for outdoors and hunting use.

This saw features a black coating of a unique nickel and tin blend on its blade, including the teeth. This provides a long blade life and an incredible cutting performance, not only in wood but also when sawing bones. In addition, the dark, non-reflective colour makes this saw particularly suitable for tactical operations.

The blade is taper ground to reduce resistance giving smoother, easier, faster cutting performance, and the four cutting angles along the blade length leaves a smooth surface after cutting. This blade can rip-cut, cross-cut and slant-cut. During manufacture the teeth of the blade are heated instantly and hardened, this will enable them to stay sharp about three times longer than non-hardened teeth.

The arbor composite handle has a warm and comfortable touch. No matter the cold or wet conditions, this handle offers a safe grip and superior control.

The blade can be locked in two positions and when not in use, you can fold it so that the sharp teeth are completely covered in the handle. A transparent case is also included.

Got all the sizes, but like to carry the smallest one's in my work & shopping bags. With a 8oz mallet and decent bushcraft DBZ knife, for emergency kit scenario's. Along with firestarter etc.

My order was processed efficiently, including the process for age verification. It arrived on time through the Royal Mail signed for service. The saw itself is exceptionally well made with an extremely sharp blade. It is also good to know that I can purchase replacement blades through the Woodlore shop. A friend was so impressed with the saw that he has also put in an order for one.

Top quality pocket saw, beautiful to look at and comfortable to use. Made quick work cutting back mature Ivy so that my Victorian brick garden wall could be lime repointed. A useful addition to my kit. Impressive fast delivery; arrived the day after I placed my order. Very pleased with my purchase. I shall be back to purchase the sheath, on my next order.

This is probably the best small pocket saw for my bug out bag on the market today. It is exactly what I need for preparing branches to make bush craft furniture. I am now considering ordering the larger of this type for my full size rucksack.

I love the silky pocketboy outback saw it ticks all the boxes regarding size weight and function. The plastic type sheath is good too and I was able to apply coyote coloured tape to it to make it suitable for stealth camping. This is a quiet alternative to an axe or a large knife. A purchase I don't regret in the least.

This is a great pocket saw and I was really surprised at the cleanliness of the cut it produces with very little effort. A nice comfortable handle and a nice carry case. I'd happily carry this for use on branches up to around 15cm ish diameter. Very happy with the saw and should I need a larger one in the future, Silky would be my first choice.

I have many Silky saws, they are unmatched in design and quality. This example is no exception, lightweight, extremely well made and a remarkably powerful saw, particularly for it's size. The handle is quite unique. Very good value and delivered quickly from Ray Mears Bushcraft. Thumbs up all round, many thanks from a satisfied customer.

Bought the Silky Fox Outback pocketboy Saw to replace an old Pocketboy version which is still going strong. This version is longer and the colours more appropriate for a backpacking tool. As with all Silky saws it cuts like a chainsaw.
