The Fjallraven Barents Pro Trousers are durable G-1000 trekking trousers for all kinds of adventures in the mountains and forest. They feature reinforced panels across the rear and knees, a variety of pockets, and 'raw-length' legs, meaning that they can be cut and adjusted to your exact requirements.

The Barents Pro Trousers are made from Fjällraven's classic G-1000 material, produced without PFCs, made for a lifetime of use. This densely woven fabric is a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, making the material wind-resistant and outstandingly hardwearing. It is also water-resistant thanks to an impregnation of Greenland Wax, which can be reapplied when necessary throughout the life of the product. This high-strength fabric also wicks moisture away from the body, making the Barents Pro Trousers ideal for active use in the outdoors all year round.

The Fjällraven company had its humble beginnings back in 1960, running from a small basement in the town of Örnsköldsvik. Equipped with little more than his mother's sewing machine, founder Åke Nordin began producing garments tough enough to withstand the long, demanding winters of Northern Sweden. Ever since, Fjällraven have continued with this quest, earning the reputation of a company reliable for making functional, hard-wearing outdoor clothing.

Best trousers ever! Really well made, really useful pocket layout, comfortable, strong and really come into their own after a couple of wax applications. Also consider the Vidda pro with the elastic leg hem, but would go for the longer leg version if you are tall. I have not found any trousers better than these. I have three pairs in case they stop making them.

Worth the money. Going to wax them in winter and wash them in the summer. Long but will sort out a permanent solution to that soon. Fabric noticeably better than cheaper trekking trousers I’ve bought.

Excellent item , prefect fit around the waist . A bit too long on the legs due to me being a bit on the short side. Otherwise superb, well made, comfortable to wear, great quality. Pity Fjallraven wouldn’t make the trousers with a short leg. Great service from Woodlore, ordered at 13.40, arrived next day in Aberdeenshire. Don’t think Amazon prime could compete with that service. As usual great service and range of products from Woodlore.

Great trouser made from quality material. The unfinished leg is great for those with a longer leg. I am a 36 inch inside leg and there was plenty of material to hem them to the required length.

The trousers fit well however I am very disappointed with the colour. The description says dark olive which should be a dark green. I am afraid my trousers are brown. No way of knowing if this is a bad batch from the factory. I would not have bought these trousers if I had known about the dark brown colour. Very disappointed and feel let down by picture and colour description by a market leading trouser brand.

Very comfortable trousers. Bought for winter walking in the UK. Very high quality construction. Useful pockets. Very sturdy fasteners (no sewed on buttons!) reinforced around the bottom, so no worries when sitting on rocks. Also, another really useful feature is that there are no rear pockets. In my experience, the buttons catch on seats and the contents get squashed when you are sitting. Well thought out, comfortable and built to last. Very highly recommended.
