The Ray Mears Campfire Tripod Case is a protective canvas sleeve designed for the storage and transportation of the
Ray Mears Campfire Tripod.
The Ray Mears Campfire Tripod Case has been re-designed with a curved edge to the leather base piece; the body is produced in a heavyweight, hard-wearing, waterproof cotton canvas with a single side seam.
The most distinctive feature of the Campfire Tripod Case is the reinforced, hand stitched leather base to add extra strength and longevity to this vulnerable area where canvas alone would wear through. The case is completed with a simple stitched-in Paracord tie at the opening, along with a discreet Ray Mears 'Snowshoe' logo embossed on a small leather tag.
This case has been made to protect your tripod while also making it easier to transport; it will help to keep your vehicle and the rest of your kit free of ash and soot after each use. The case can also be used for storage of other tripods, poles and rods up to 120cm long and with a maximum circumference of 24cm.
The canvas can be sponge cleaned and should be allowed to dry thoroughly before storage. The leather foot of the case will benefit from the occasional application of a greasy leather feed such as
Norsol Leather Balm.
All of our leather and canvas goods are hand-made in England by Woodlore's resident leather worker Becky Brewster, a craftswoman with over three decades of experience. The leather used in this product is vegetable tanned with full, natural grain and hand-dyed in house to the unique Woodlore colour.
