The Ray Mears Canvas Billy Can Bag is a durable protective canvas case, made for the storage and transportation of the classic Zebra Stainless Steel Billy Can - 14 cm.

Made from 100% plain weave cotton canvas with a dry wax finish, this small but sturdy bag provides a long-lasting solution to keeping your rucksack and the rest of your kit free of soot and ash after cooking with your Billy Can. This particular bag has been specially designed to house the 14 cm Zebra Billy Can, but can of course be used to store a host of other items of equipment.

The bag is sealed by way of a sewn-in para cord tie, eliminating the risk of any components failing or being lost in the field. The wax finish feels dry to the touch, makes the bag water repellent and will not transfer unlike more traditional waxed and oiled canvas. This canvas takes on a patina in use giving it a rugged, time-worn appearance whilst remaining robust.

As with all canvas goods, take care to ensure that your bag is dry before storing, and keep it in a dry, well-ventilated location. Dirt can be sponged off with warm (not hot) water and a mild detergent if required before sponging again with clean water and air drying.

I ordered the first Zebra Billy Can Bag to carry my 14 cm Billy, keeping my other kit clean when my Billy had spent time in a fire. This is a second purchase because I found so many other uses for this bag that I had to order another. I have also ordered other sizes. The are great, substantial organisers for all kinds of kit. As always, Woodlore ships faster than anyone else on the internet, including Amazon Prime!

I bought this because it was only slightly more expensive than a similar model on Etsy or eBay and it was by the man himself. After purchasing this bag, I have found that I am able to identify more edible plants and can light a fire, in the rain, with a bow drill. I also now own a tree bark canoe. Not sure how that happened. Would recommend.

Another fantastic product from Woodlore. I have bought a few items before and they are always excellent whether it be a Woodlore product or from another company. This billy can bag was purchased along with a 14cm billy can and both items are exactly what I was expecting. I have only used the billy can a few times but I see no issues with it lasting for many years.

As with the other bags in this series, this is a nice fit for the billy can, not too snug so easy to get the can in and out. I have removed the hanger and plastic hooks from my own 14cm can, the hanger has been replaced with bicycle brake cable, but the out of the box hanger would fit in here comfortably. The bags offer a useful way of keeping the lid on the can meaning anything stored in the can will stay there until required.
