The beautiful Ray Mears Leather Knife Sheath has been hand-made from start to finish, and the finished article truly reflects the workmanship that has gone into it. This model features an integrated loop, allowing you to safely carry your knife on your belt. Two external pockets on the front of the sheath will house your Fire Stick and DC3 Sharpening Stone. A leather cord is also provided to attach your Fire Stick to the closure strap, ensuring that you won't lose it once it has been worn down to a looser fit. This sheath is a durable, high-quality product which is sure to keep your knife protected and safely concealed.

Many knife sheaths may look similar on the outside, but what makes a sheath do the job safely and securely is what is on the inside: it must fit the knife in all particulars to prevent movement by allowing the blade to bed slightly into the welt and also provide a fit in the handle section while still allowing the knife to be smoothly withdrawn.

All of our leather goods are hand-made in England by a craftswoman with over three decades of experience. All leathers are vegetable tanned with full, natural grain, and are hand-dyed in house to the unique Woodlore colour. All of our knife sheaths are treated to harden them and provide a penetrating wax finish.

I bought this sheath for my Woodlore copy from another knife maker. With a little wet forming the sheath works perfectly. Quality of leather, excellent, stitching perfect. I had one of these sheaths with my original Woodlore I purchased from the site many years ago; I just wish I still had it!

I bought the fire stick/sharpener carry all sheath to replace the standard sheath that was getting beat up from hard use. Being able to carry said items so conveniently attached to the sheath is worth it’s weight in gold when out and about in the field.

Beautifully made and reasonably priced - bought to protect my investment in the Ray Mears Bushcraft Knife. Ferrocerium Rod holder is a bit snug but I guess that means I shouldn’t lose it. Sharpening stone holder is for the smaller Fallkniven DC3 which I have in there as a backup (I find it a bit small to sharpen with generally). Overall a tidy upgrade to the basic sheath with a bit of redundancy.

As always a great service provided by Woodlore. The item arrived within 24 hours. I had a smile from one ear to the other when I opened the package. I've had my Ray Mears woodlore knife for some years now and when I saw this sheath with added stone and fire stick compartments I had to get it. I'll still keep the old sheath of course as a back up. The sheath is superb quality (as the old one was also). I can now look forward to using it outdoors (bush craft) knowing that I have a sharpening stone and fire stick handy without storing them in my back pack. It is all positive and not one negative to say about this item. I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner. Oh hold on...yes I do...it was my wife. She wanted new carpets and curtains! lol She got what she wanted and I got what I wanted, so we are both happy. Thanks Woodlore.

Some superb craftmanship here, beautiful work and premium quality materials. I first got my Woodlore Knife in 1993 (the Alan Wood maple handle one) so this seemed a perfect 25th anniversary gift for the blade. The sheath is an absolute gem, the fit and finish is exceptionally good, but perhaps more importantly the knife fits perfectly, I mean perfectly, there's no wobble or movement, it's held firm but not overly tight as to make it dangerous to remove. The design, fit and finish is heirloom quality. The DC3 also a perfect fit, sits tight and well protected in the pouch with a clever leather pull tab/fastener that the stone sits on. You pull the closure strap and it brings out the stone; very nice feature making it unlikely that the stone will fall out or be dropped. Also the fire steel tube is very well done, it holds a fire steel inserted from the top or bottom with the same degree of firmness and safety as the stone pouch. When sheathing the blade, the sheath feels very positive. This sheath not only protects but complements the Woodlore Knife just perfectly, and you can feel that this sheath is going to last at least another 25 years. It's in the build quality which speaks volumes of the craft, care and passion put into it. If you have a Woodlore blade, especially one of the earlier ones, you should buy one of these immediately, it just seems appropriate and right. Perfect and very highly recommended!
