The Gransfors Bruks Large Carving Axe is used for woodcarving and shaping wood. Each axe head comes individually stamped with the smith's initials, while the handle features the embossed Gransfors logo.

The axe has been developed in collaboration with master craftsmen Wille Sundqvist and Onni Linnanheimo, with inspiration from old designs.

The Large Carving Axe has a relatively long, curved cutting edge which is double sided.

Professional axe, quality materials and great design. I use it for spoon carving, and it preforms rough cuts as well as accurate cuts at a high level. It is well balanced and doesn’t lose its edge easily.
