Each Ray Mears leather belt is handmade from a single piece of supple, fine quality British bridle butt.

The vegetable tanned leather is hand-dyed to Woodlore’s Rich Brown colour and shows all the beauty of its full natural grain which is further brought out by the dark brown hand burnished, bevelled edges and traditional crease lines. Three rows of hand-stitching using a braided polyester thread secure the heavyweight, solid brass buckle with roller and two leather loops keep the free end of the belt in place; one fixed at the buckle and one free-running.

With 12”/ 30cms of adjustment these belts were originally designed to be worn over outer clothing in cold climates to trap warm air but can also be used with your outdoor trousers and jeans. If you are intending to wear your belt over outer clothing or want the option to, please order one size larger.

Cut from the length of the butt the thick leather is strong enough to lash things together or be used as a knife strop and will become even more supple over time and with use.

Embossed with the Ray Mears Bushcraft logo, this very special item is exclusive to Woodlore and hand-made in-house by a craftswoman with over three decades of experience.

A full refund or exchange will be given provided that the items have not been worn or used, and are returned to us within 30 days of purchase, together with all relative labels and packaging. You are responsible for the cost of returning items.

I am so pleased with this belt. Not only because of the quality but because of the fit. I purchased this belt because I wanted a smart belt to wear with jeans and a belt that would go around outer clothing which can be bulky in colder weather. The belt is size 40 and I am 34 inch waist. The belt goes around me perfectly with a hole or two to spare. The additional length fits through the sliding leather loop and looks great with jeans. It also fits around bulky outerwear with a hole or two to spare. Just so adaptable and looks so good too. Very pleased.

I received the leather notebook and the brown leather belt...these products are first class and very well made. Lovely, thick leather belt and strong buckle. It looks nice, is plenty long enough and looks and feels like it will last a lifetime. Everything you would expect from a Woodlore product.

Very impressed, item arrived very promptly to New Zealand (about 8 days) well packed in Eco friendly packaging. The belt is excellent quality and very well made, have tried a few belts over the years and this one is the best I have had. The only downside is that it will probably outlast me and I will not need to purchase another one. Thank you all at Woodlore for your service. Look forward to doing business with you in the future.

If you are thinking of getting one of these belts don’t delay. I wish I had got one years ago, it’s the best quality I have seen. You will enjoy to use for the rest of your life. Just get one.
