  A lightweight load carrying addition to the Sabre 45, very useful when the main pack is too large for a short trip. When the side pockets are not zipped together the mesh works well as a way of mitigating a sweaty back, and the shoulder straps are well designed to distribute load comfortably. However, as other reviewers have commented, a sternum strap would be a useful addition to the yoke system.

  Nice bit of kit which does exactly what it says on the tin. Makes for a versatile modular system with the Karrimor rucksack and side pouches. Now I’ve got multiple options and no need for a separate day pack just use one or two of the side pouches when breaking out from camp to explore leaving the big pack behind.

  As with all of the sabre range, this seems like a well built product. I have not used it yet, so don't read this as a review. I wanted to share my intentions for this product to give other people iteas when travelling with their gear. I am going to the Amazon rainforest in September for a 2 week jungle exhibition, and have been thinking about my luggage very carefully. I will be taking my sabre 60/100 as my main hold luggage. This will be stored in a packable/lightweight duffle bag, which can also be used as a pillow when folded in my hammock. I tend to use the side pouches as my carry on luggage. So, this is where the yoke system comes in, as it will allow me to use them like a small backpack. Once I arrive at my destination; I can reunited my side pouches with the main bergen. Doing this means that I will only have one pack on my back at any given time. If this works out well, I will be employing this system on all of my oversea trips.

  Works very well with all the side pockets and other PLCE, robust and excellent quality.

  Very smart design allowing to combine both the Saber pouches as well as the Predator pockets. Could have been a very useful daypack accessory to have on hand on camping trips, however the mesh lining on one of the shoulder straps tore the first time I actually used it outside (second overall time, since I tested the system inside first), for a couple of hours gathering some plants, where I took it on and off a few times. Since most of the item is mesh, this leaves me with little confidence as to its reliability in the field. Too bad, since otherwise it would have proven most handy.

  I have had Karrimor rucksacks before so I was confident of the quality of the Sabre items and the panniers. Haven't used it yet but it's an excellent product. Plus your good service too. Thankyou. Tony Bosson.

  Great addition to the side pockets and easy to carry in a larger pack to create a daypack. Could benefit from a chest strap which seems hard to attach easily, hence 4stars.

  A very useful system and easy to use. It's a compromise of course however a good one. Having to not take a separate day bag was helpful on a recent trip and I was able to use this to put the pockets together to take everything I need for a walk that day. Highly recommended and good quality. Room for improvement would be a chest strap.

  Clever design here. I like the way you can take the side pockets for a walk. Have used this for the first time and I am very impressed. Would have given 5 stars if there had been shoulder strap retainers like the main pack.
