The Peltonen M23 Ranger Cub Knife is designed by former captain of Finnish defense forces, J-P Peltonen.

This little versatile knife can be used for many tasks, including carving, whittling, hiking and other outdoor activities.

The full tang, fixed blade is made from 80CrV2 Carbon steel and features a Drop point. It is Scandi ground with a micro bevel, angle 20°. The blade edge is induction hardened at HRC 62, with the spine hardened at HRC 59.

The ergonomically designed handle is made from TPV and provides excellent grip.

Thanks to the Pull-the-DOT® snap on the Kydex sheath, the knife is easy to strap on and off the belt. The Kydex sheath also includes a necklace, allowing the knife to be carried around the neck.

Great little knife, really secure in the sheath with a well designed thumb notch to help extraction, ambidextrous designed sheath for your belt as well as a length of para cord to hang from your neck. Excellent Quran’s value for money

Mr Peltonen definitely knows what a small knife should be. The handle is good, no hot spots, good wet, or wearing gloves. The blade, is just right, the steel holds a very sharp edge, often stropping doesn't throw the best spark. As a neck knife I just love it, for me it's a perfect size. The sheath is solid, when new it's too tight, but with use it's becoming just perfect. You don't get the adjustable cord, just a short length tied at the end. I swapped this out for a slightly longer length of cord. The belt loop, I haven't seen a similar one before, it's really good, quick and easy to remove the sheath from your belt. Really good purchase.
