The Marttiini Lynx Knife - Forged Blade is a beautifully crafted carbon steel knife from Finland.

The forged carbon steel full narrowing tang blade makes this knife very strong and with its slender blade and scandi grind it is particularly suited to the task of carving. This classic knife is robust and will withstand hard use and each blade comes hand-engraved with the manufacturers name. When testing this product Ray particularly liked the carbon steel blade and found it very easy to sharpen.

The handle is made from curly birch, which is very traditional for Finnish knives. The blaze-patterned curly birch is an excellent material for a knife handle as it is durable and lightweight.

This knife in combination with the Lumberjack knife sheath is available exclusively in the UK from Woodlore.

A fantastic knife, beautifully forged blade, and a great traditional handle too. Mine has come very sharp, which is great. Does need the blade oiled regularly though, to keep rust at bay, as any carbon steel blade would do. Many thanks for great service in despatching and delivery also.

Lovely knife, good quality for the money, a good next step from a Mora Companion. The sheath is nice, slightly unusual but in a good way. Why not 5 stars? Well the dangler on the sheath seems very flimsy, not sure how long it will last.

I purchased this knife a few weeks ago. I have given it some work to do in that time and it has proved to be a super tool. I would not use it for major tasks, such as splitting large rounds, as this could loosen the tang on the handle. It is a very light-weight knife so I made a cord for carrying round my neck, rather than on a belt. The leather sheath is first-class, the only thing I might do is rub down the gloss varnish finish and give it an oil finish. This knife is worth every penny, and should last for many years if treated with respect.

My first impression. This is a good sturdy bush craft knife. It is razor sharp and holds an edge very well. The leather sheath is very high quality. This is one of the hot items at the Woodlore Store. High recommended.
