Ray Mears Leather Woodlore Knife Pro Sheath - Neck

The Ray Mears Leather Woodlore Knife Pro Sheath - Neck has been hand-made from start to finish, and the finished article truly reflects the workmanship that has gone into it. This particular model features an integrated slit, allowing you to attach your own cord so that the sheath can be worn slung around your neck. An additional pocket is attached to the sheath to house your Fire Stick. This sheath is a durable, high-quality product which is sure to keep your knife protected and safely concealed.

Many knife sheaths may look similar on the outside, but what makes a sheath do the job safely and securely is what is on the inside: it must fit the knife in all particulars to prevent movement by allowing the blade to bed slightly into the welt and also provide a fit in the handle section while still allowing the knife to be smoothly withdrawn.

The knife sheath has been designed to complement the lines of the Woodlore Knife Pro, tapering with the blade, with a steeper slope at the mouth of the sheath and featuring gently defined curves punctuated by an 'elbow' where the base of the handle sits.

This sheath maintains the same tapered design, curves and angles as the Woodlore Knife Pro Sheath – Belt but the reversible design is suspended from a cord attached via the lower eyelet and upper slot and worn slung around the neck and one arm. If you prefer to have your sheath in your hands when sheathing or withdrawing your knife then this is the type of sheath for you and your Woodlore Knife Pro. This design also allows for convenient housing of a fire-stick in the loop stitched into the gusset of the sheath.

All of our leather goods are hand-made in England by a craftswoman with over three decades of experience. All leathers are vegetable tanned with full, natural grain, and are hand-dyed in house to the unique Woodlore colour. All of our knife sheaths are treated to harden them and provide a penetrating wax finish.
