Sawyer Micro Squeeze Water Filtration System

  This was bought for my son who is off to rural bits of Asia doing volunteering, so I can't comment on how it is to use, however it is a very well made piece of gear and seems very robust. What I really liked about it too was its simplicity and also its capacity before end of life, which (if the specs are true) is very impressive. There are two or three bits that look like they could be easily lost, so I would recommend using a dedicated pouch. In my son's case it was my old pouch but any other pouch that can manage the bulk of the syringe and water pouch combined would do. I'd also recommend cutting the instructions to size and putting them in a small ziplok always handy until you are completely au fait with its operation. Overall though it seems to be a very good product and the fact that Woodlore are selling it is always a good sign.

  Can't go wrong with Swayer. I had the mini version and it never failed me, drank out the most distgusting puddles I could find and I'm still here. Bought this for my dad for when he attempts the last parts of the Pennine Way. He's really keen to use it. Super quick service and delivery. This micro ended up being cheaper than anywhere else. Would order again from here, thanks guys.

  Excellent bit of kit! It's so easy to use I can see why it is recommended by a lot of people. The first time couple of times I used it though the water that had been filtered tasted a bit like plastic. I decided to use just a regular plastic water bottle instead of the water pouch and that went away. I'm not sure if it was purely the pouch flavouring the water or just because the filter had been used more.

  So far used for mountain biking day rides in the national parks topping up water bottle from streams etc. Previously used tablets when backpacking but had to wait 30mins to fully dissolve. First time using a filter, overall this seems to do a good job, saves carrying extra water. Tricky to fill by submersion, vertical running water better. Pouch tricky to dry inside after washing back at home.

  Used once so far wild camping. About the size I expected. Used it with the hydration bag provided to filter water directly into my bottle. Does the job it is meant to do. Currently storing the filter and all the bits in a freezer bag so as not to lose anything. I would recommend getting a case.

  Really swift delivery and a good price. The Sawyer Micro Squeeze is a great filter. Quicker flow rate than the mini. I’m really pleased with it. The only negative with Sawyer filters is the bag. I’d prefer a soft bottle more like you get with a runners hydration vest. This is only minor point and I’d still highly recommend this product.

  Great bit of kit, easy to use, packs up small in my bag, it means I can carry just my hydration bladder and refill before I set up camp. If you to wildcamp, you need this.

  Item arrived in good time and works perfectly as described, with almost as good a flow rate as Sawyer Squeeze but less weight like the mini squeeze, the micro gives best of both. Price was better than I could find anywhere else online.
