Wilmas natural products are made in Swedish Lapland, and utilise the knowledge and techniques that have been preserved for generations by the people who live and work in the northern forest.

This charred cotton cloth will assist you to light a fire using traditional methods such as flint and steel, which is hugely satisfying. Char cloth has been used for centuries as an aid to firelighting, easily taking a spark using a fire stick or a flint and steel striker to produce a hot ember.

Each kit contains approximately 8 dm² of cotton char cloth housed in a handy storage tin.

Returns

This is excellent charcloth. Exactly as described and packed full of charred cotton cloth. It takes a spark really easily from flint, steel and a ferro rod. I haven't been able to test solar ignition yet due to weather conditions, but see no reason why this wouldn't easily ignite. The container is metal, so you can create your own charred material in the tin easily enough, don't forget to puncture a hole in the tin for the gasses to escape. Delivery arrived the next day via Royal Mail in the UK. Overall 5 stars.
