Petromax Cooking Stand

  This has quickly become a bit of a favorite. This gets used weekly in my post wildswim campfires. Its perfect for boiling a kettle and also cooking on using either a dutch oven or Frying pan etc. It has already had some abuse being removed from the fire when red hot, but its so solidly built it takes it in its stride, a bit of 3 in 1 oil on the pins to keep them free and all good to go next time! Folds down well, it is weighty so not one for a lightweight setup. Bit of a bargain, will last a lifetime.

  Also ordered the 1 x GSI Outdoors Pinnacle 10 Inch Frying Pan. Both products were perfect in form and function. Have used them a few times already.

  The Petromax Cooking Stand is a great, functional and robust piece of kit. It can be utilised in a number of different ways. It's primary use is for cooking over an open fire. It is very sturdy and will support a large Dutch Oven. By placing a wire grill on top, the height of the stand is perfect for cooking over hot coals. It can also be used indoors to protect surfaces from hot pots and pans. Treated with respect, I am confident this item should last a lifetime.

  Very well engineered and light weight. How do you open it? Numpty took a while to work out it has a geometric spring closing on one of the legs to keep it closed securely - How good is that!

  A great and well made piece of kit which folds down nicely. Only issue is that due to be able to fold it, anything that you put on it doesn't sit completely level but this stand is only meant for cooking with small items.

  Just what I wanted. With the addition of a grill salvaged from a portable barbecue, not only can utilise my pots but I can also quickly create an outdoor grill. Also easily fits in a small pack.

  Perfect for using over a open fire for cooking. Love it. Goes well with Zebra pot.
