  Great purchase as always. However I would like to have had the option for metal clips. The plastic ones melt when used as an oven.

  These billy cans are such versatile pans and a very competitive price from Ray Mears’ website. Much cheaper than some sights I’ve seen them on. They’re a quality product and will last many many years. The plastic clips on the sides seem a waste of time as they’ll last less than a minute on a hot fire so I’d advise changing these out for metal ones, which are easy to make but, apart from this, I can’t fault it. Highly recommended.

  Robust and high quality. The only drawback is the clips that retain the pot lid are plastic not metal but hopeful they are long lasting and don’t become brittle from repeated use.

  Well made durable pot. We have found it a good size for two of us and the kids for brew and hot chocolate making on the fire. Found pot hanger really practical and straight forward to use. Would recommend as a really solid campfire Billy Can at an affordable price.

  Perfect for cooking in pairs on a fire. Covered in washing up liquid (on the outside) after use and cleaned up all sparkly again - love them!

  I think these Billy Cans are brilliant. I bought two the 12cm and 14cm ones because I couldn't make up my mind with regards to the size. When they arrived I was so impressed I placed another order for the 10cm Billy and the 14cm version. Again, I also found them very good. I found it hard to resist the 16cm Billy, but my other half put a stop to my newly found hobby of Zebra collecting. The quality is extreme good and its a shame to actually use them over a fire. The stainless is polished to a mirror finish quality. I have obviously purchased them for outdoor use, open fire, small wood stove, gas and petrol stoves. I have also started to use them in the house and sit one on top of the log burner, makes great Chilli. I'd would have used them on the kitchen hob if it was for it being an induction hob, it doesn't work with stainless Steel. You can remove the plastic clips that hold up the bail and make stainless steel replacements, but in all honesty I have removed the clips and use a pan handle gripper or leather glove to steady it during pouring. It has to be said, I have another mug and cup but the Zebra product is far better quality. If only the 10cm Zebra had handles I know which one I'd go for. Possible improvement could be drilling a few small holes in the lid so the lid can be used as a strainer. This can be done at home, but remember it is stainless and difficult to drill. My order arrived the next day. Can't fault the level of service.
