The Norrona Recon GORE-TEX Pro Pants are truly at the top of their league as far as waterproof, windproof and breathable outer layers go. Developed with the help of the Norwegian, Swedish and Danish Special Forces, this fourth generation version of the now legendary Recon range is Norrona's most durable and weather-protective shell set yet.

Made from a 3-layer recycled GORE-TEX Pro material, the Recon Pants are ideal for use both in the UK and overseas, offering fantastic protection from wind, rain and snow. They come highly recommended by Ray Mears and the Woodlore team following extensive use around the world, particularly in the Arctic wilderness where they have become our go-to trousers. The GORE-TEX membrane uses a woven liner to reduce weight and bulk, and enhance moisture transport and minimise abrasion, all while maintaining durable waterproof properties making it a superb storm-protection fabric.

Designed for use in the areas of trekking, backpacking, mountain hunting, forest hunting, expeditions, glacier walking, general outdoor pursuits and military use, the Recon Pants are a truly versatile yet heavy-duty outdoor trouser. Despite the excellent barrier they provide against the elements, the Recon Pant is surprisingly lightweight, at just 560 g .

They have a roomy fit with mulitple equipment pockets, 6mm YKK WR zippers, waterproof zipper ventings, a practical high cut in the back, side ventilation and loops where you can attach suspenders if desired.

Unisex model, women should go down one size from their normal size on this product.

I know what you're thinking £400 is a lot to spend on a pair of trousers and you're right, however the protection and durability of Gore Tex Pro makes it worth while. There are cheaper waterproofs out there, they're just nowhere near as good.

These trousers do all they claim to do. Whether just standing around a camp in them, or working hard, or plunging thigh deep in snow again and again, I never felt the slightest dampness or clamminess. Quite thick and tough yet strangely soft material. Quality in every way. I cannot recommend them enough.

The delivery was super fast. Ordered friday to Finland and the item was waiting in my mailbox was monday when I arrived home. Pant size was what I was worried because measuring and comparing it to the chart it was close to xxl. I ordered xl. I shouldn't have worried. These are almost too big. Just as I wanted I can wear something else under these. Product quality seems appears superb. I cant wait to put them really in action and test crossing rivers and in the rain. The 5 year warranty helps to keep mind in peace.
