SealSkinz Waterproof Cold Weather Mid Length Socks

  I work planting trees and maintaining woodlands. I have combined these socks with a pair of military surplus Altberg boots. This allows me to work all day in the wet without having to wear wellies which due to knee problems don’t offer enough support. So far they have been excellent, keeping my feet warm and dry despite having sopping wet boots. The outside dries overnight and then they are ready to wear again the next day regardless of whether the boots have dried out or not. Another good, practical piece of kit from Woodlore. Thank you.

  SealSkinz are a brand to trust – having used their waterproof socks for years (and my late wife was impressed with her gloves from the company). They will wear out, but are tough and retain waterproofness for a 'long time'. Obviously the 'long time' will be longer if you use them on weekend walks as opposed to daily. Even as the waterproof layer fails, the merino wool helps you eek out their life as a warmer sock.

  I love my new socks. I have a health condition that produces pain in my feet, so comfort is essential. My feet feel supported, warm and comfortable in my boots. I haven’t had chance to jump in any puddles yet to test their waterproof quality.

  These are now my favourite socks for hiking, dog walking, camping and even just milling around my house, I love them! I have a knackered old pair of boots and I wear these with them and it doesn't matter if the boots let in some water as these keep my feet toasty and dry. I now always ask for Sealskinz socks as a Christmas present, I'm going to build up quite a collection!
