  I ordered this to go with my trangia 27 and to cook over an open fire with my children. I haven’t had chance to cook over a fire with it yet but we’ve used it with the trangia successfully. It fits the 27 perfectly and feels nice and sturdy nestled in there on the pot support legs (as predicted, I had measured the pots that come with it to choose the diameter correctly) and we were very pleased with the resulting curry and pasta cooked on different days. The handle has made it really easy to involve our 8 year old in cooking processes as it doesn’t get hot when stood upright or at 90 degrees when cooking on the trangia. The plastic clips are easy to remove or reattach after doing it the first time - I was worried I would break them that first time though but once over the first time working it out it’s now easy to do. We used them to lock the lid closed and pop the billy can in our home made camping wonder bag to keep it hot while we alternated other pots and the frying pan to make our Bombay potatoes and warm some naans. It’s a really good quality and sturdy item that I can see still being part of our kit for decades. The delivery and packing were absolutely fine and there were a sensible number of emails about the order and dispatch - unlike some online stores that inundate you with them! It arrived quickly when ordered not too long before our camping trip. Overall really pleased with the product and it compliments our trangia really well to make camp cooking for 1A, 2C just that little bit easier with less pan juggling.

  Since I've taken an interest in bushcraft I've come to realise that the 'classic' kit items are indeed classics for a reason, they are functional and have longevity. So far this billy can seems to be up to the job. I even used the insert to cook some basic dough on embers which worked a treat. The only thing I will do at somepoint is change the plastic clips for metal ones. Overall, very good product!

  I love this product I think it’s brilliant I can use it for baking or cooking over the fire it works well on trangia stove and is very multi use. The quality of the product is outstanding, it is truly a work of art, the stainless steel is of great quality and does not look like it will be dented easily. The steamer is a great addition to the pot. only wish it came with metal clips not plastic ones. As when the pot is on its side for baking the lid won’t just stay on. Would definitely recommend buying the product Plus its at a great price. A definite 5 stars.

  I simply love Zebra Head Billy Cans and this 12cm one is no exception. I have used this several times since it arrived just over two weeks ago, used on gas, spirit and wood fires. I've used it for making brews and one pot meals. The plastic pot clips are not a favourite of mine and were promptly removed before they became a sticky mess on the side of the pot. I also removed the wide stainless steel bail and replaced it with a wire crimped version which just works better for me. The pot now has a beautiful patina and has become a part of my regular use kit. I have absolutely no qualms in recommending these pots, they are high quality and bomb proof. The inner dish can be useful too. All at a good price, thanks.

  Perfect for cooking individually on a fire. Covered in washing up liquid (on the outside) after use and cleaned up all sparkly again - love them!
