The Trangia Spirit Burner is an alcohol-based fuel burner made from brass with a 100% cotton wick. With its simple construction this burner is easy to use and can be used in all weather conditions.

The Simmering ring regulates the heat and is used to save fuel or to extinguish the flame. The Spirit Burner can be used with all Trangia stoves and in severe cold, the winter attachment can be used.

The Trangia Spirit Burner boils 1 litre of water in 10 minutes (varies according to weather and quality of fuel). One filling of fuel will burn in approximately 25 minutes.

Use alcohol-based fuel only. The name of fuel varies over the world ; Methylated spirits or bioethanol spirit (UK), Tenol eller T-röd (SE), Brennspiritus (D), Ethyl alcohol or Denature alcohol (USA), Methyl alcohol or Wood alcohol (AU), Alcool a brûleur (FR), Rødsprit (N & DK), Gedenatureerde alcohol (brandspiritus) (NL), Marinol-100 or Sinol (FI).

Ray's personal setup includes the Trangia Spirit Burner, which he places underneath the Littlbug Junior Stove; both of these items then fit neatly inside the Zebra 12 cm Billy Can with the internal dish removed, resulting in a surprisingly neat and compact cooking set for solo trips.

I really enjoy using the Trangia Spirit Burner as an alternative to my gas stove, when I'm not in a hurry. It's much slower in comparison but it's also so much quieter, and therefore a far more relaxing cooking experience. I use this with The Honey Stove and they work very well together.
