The Woolpower Crewneck LITE with long sleeves is an ideal Merino wool base layer to wear during high levels of activity and/or in warmer temperatures.

The lengthwise seams are placed further back for optimal comfort and the raglan sleeve design prevents any seam rub when carrying a backpack. The back is also longer to prevent gaps.

Woolpower's LITE range of base layers have been designed to offer a cooler alternative to the Woolpower Ullfrotte Original. The LITE fabric is flat-knitted which gives more direct contact against the skin than Woolpower's Ullfrotte Original fabric. This means that heat is conducted more easily from the skin and out through the garment, which in turn, makes the LITE products perfect as a cooler alternative, for high-level activity and/or warmer temperatures. Woolpower LITE stretches the season for Woolpower garments and can be used all year round.

A 19.5 micron merino wool is combined with 20% polyamide fibre to create a strong and durable garment, with function still the primary focus. There are no more seams than absolutely necessary and the fabric is a very soft, smooth and stretchy 1:1 rib knit fabric.

The Woolpower LITE range still provides insulation, but more importantly its Merino wool adapts to temperature and activity level.

This Woolpower flatweave base layer performed as expected, given the rave reviews I'd read prior to purchasing; extremely warm and comfortable. I was grateful for the tip-off that this is a cooler layer for times of greater activity - I think I would have found the thicker Ulfrotte versions too hot. On the sizing, being borderline on the chest parameters for the Small size, I actually found it a bit too tight. In the end, I gave the Small version to my wife and have purchased a Medium for myself, which I find less restrictive. The garment came very quickly from Woodlore. A true, quality service, providing quality gear!
