As a long standing client of the Woolpower brand I must say that there is nothing on the market at the moment to challenge those items.
Firstly because are of an excellent quality and secondary because it is made in Sweden.
There are many brands out there that are competing on the merino challenge but unfortunately are made in China.
This is very important argument as Woolpower guys are not only branding their products with their own names but also their products are made at the highest standard.
The products are little bit on the larger side of the size compared with the usual Chinese products that are usually on the smaller side of the sizing standards that means one will expect to be more comfortable in one of those items.
The downside of this is the prices that are not the cheapest. I think that the items are little bit overpriced but one must never forget where the products are coming from so its understandable.
The design is absolutely genius as the Woolpower guys have tested these for generations and they built them very ingeniously, in such way that all the tops are longer on the back so when you are bending forward they will never let your lower back exposed.
The sewing is awesome as the thing never come undone and the fabrics never itches your skin.
Considering that the wool never smells and rarely requires washing due to its natural properties also it retains more than 75% of the heat even when it’s wet.
I used to wear nylon items for my outdoor activities but most of the top brands on the market, some of those with silver fibres but unfortunately I had to return back to wool as nothing on the last technologies will achieve the same level of efficiency as wool.
Downside of it? It’s heavy and bulky.
Now depending of how far you will like to go for a compromise I think that it worth the negative bit.
I highly recommended Woolpower products any time.
