This whetstone is a work of art – really beautifully crafted. It is an extremely fine grain, and very hard wearing whetstone, approximately 12,000 grit. Used with water, it is a great pre-finishing stone, and can also be used as a finishing stone. I’ve been using whetstones for decades, and I have never found anything better. Welsh slate is widely regarded as the best in the world, and for good reason. These makers have been producing these products for over 160 years, and the fact that this stone is sold here attests to its quality. Very highly recommended. Excellent value (it is impossible to find this anywhere any cheaper than this), and the usual great packaging and fast shipping. Thank you Woodlore!
