Along with its classic looks, the stylish Wapiti coat performs impeccably well in all manner of outdoors, giving you the edge in either hardcore recreational use, or your chosen leisure activity. Made in Vietnam from a three-layer AEGIS® fabric which is soft, light, very quiet and is 100% waterproof, windproof and breathable.

The Wapiti features Swazi's famed hood design, offering excellent peripheral vision while keeping wind and rain at bay. The inner conforms to the contours of your face, while the outer protrudes into an adjustable peak, stiffened with a durable liner and concealed wire-lined frame. A hood lock feature ensures a secure closure and that the hood does not flap around when in use. The hood also zips off for those times when you don't need the extra protection.

Extra comfortable stretch inner cuff are concealed behind with touch-tape outer cuffs to ensure sleeves stay where you want them to. Designed especially for folk who hate cold, icy water running down their elbows! Faux suede lines the top of the full zip to ensure protection of your face and it also lines the hand warmer and wet pockets.

This coat features two generous external ‘wet’ pockets which have mesh eyelets to allow any collected water to easily drain away. These pockets are designed with a new lite-weight metal sprung, pop out feature so that they remain open when needed for easy access, known as bistable. There is also a tab located inside the hand warmer pockets that pulls out and snaps to the top opening tab of the wet pockets allowing it to remain open for quick access. A chest waterproof inner map pocket stored securely under a storm flap is perfect for your valuables.

Great bit of kit. Went for a large after trying one on at a show and found it cheaper here. Not as many pockets as my paramo jacket but a much tougher fabric that I won’t be afraid to wear when pushing through gorse or brambles. Pockets that stay open are a good idea. Out on the North Yorkshire coast in the rain and 43 mph gusts showed it’s waterproof and long enough to keep your backside dry.
