  Quality stainless steel, the handle/bail arm is excellent my only gripe is it doesn’t quite fold down far enough to not stick out when packing but you wouldn’t be using it for lightweight hiking. The lid fits really well allowing for the last minute mushrooms in my stew that I should have cut smaller but the lid fitted over them.

  Perfect size for my cooking needs and compliments my 6L nicely. It's simple, but it works. The locking bail handle and lid handle are nice touches. These will last a long time.

  Nice size cooking for two - complimentary to my kettle and frying pan from Eagle Products. My experience is the copper base transfers heat more evenly when cooking on an open fire so worth the slightly higher price point.

  As always really speedy shipping. I recently tested the pot with a simple stew over the fire. Heats up really well. It’s a very robust pot and I think I will have many years of good use from it. Thank you very much to the Woodlore team.

  This is an excellent piece of kit. It will nicely fill a size requirement in my assortment of cooking pots. I especially like the copper clad bottom. This should help avoid hot spots and assist with more even heating. Both the bail handle on the pot and the loop tab on the lid can be set in the upright position for easy use. The lid is not as well fitting as I’d like. It’s not even a snug fit. It’s held in place by gravity and a nice lip on the edge of the pot rim does keep it from sliding off. This is the only area that I’d like to see improvement in. Other than that one issue, which I can live with because I’m careful to the point of being meticulous when dealing with pots of boiling liquids, this is top quality item. I’d also like to say what a pleasure it was to deal with the fine folks at Ray Mears Bushcraft/ Woodlore.

  I bought this pot, on a recommendation, as a lightweight alternative to a cast iron Dutch oven. I've been using it regularly for about a month. The quality of manufacture is excellent! As, perhaps, you'd expect from Sweden. The great features, which unfortunately cannot be seen clearly in the photos, are the bale handle and pot lid handle. The bale or suspension handle conveniently locks in the upright position when suspended over a fire, thus preventing the pot swinging independently whilst stirring the contents. the handle remains horizontal when in the down position preventing it from dropping into the fire and making it easier to grab if not suspended. The lid handle also locks in the up position to allow ease of lifting. Nice features and much appreciated. The heat transfer is good due to the copper plated base yet I've not burnt anything onto the bottom inside the pan, so far at least!

  Great pot, not to heavy. The 1.5ltr eagle kettle nestles perfectly with this pot. The base of the pot is big enough to be effective as a frying pan, when I did this nothing stuck to it. This was easy to clean.

  Made from high quality stainless steel. The locking mechanism is a brilliant idea. Suitable for cocking rice over an open fire and large enough to serve for six to eight people. Came with mesh bag for easy storage. Highly recommended.
