I'm very happy with the kettle. I bought it in 2017 and I have been using it on and off for brewing coffee, mostly over open fire. It is a no nonsense kettle and a sturdy one; I read in other two comments (one here below and one under the 1.5 litre kettle) about sharp shreds of metal loosening out the kettle when new; I sincerely hope that it has happened only sporadically and I'm sorry for the unfortunate buyers, because I'm happy with the kettle I bought. I like it that it is stainless steel, that's the main reason I bought it. I am really curious how much the copper coating of the bottom helps with better heat distribution, I hope it does and is not just there for the looks. The coating is very thin, in any case it's a nice touch. Although not really a bigger issue the handles won't lie completely flush all the way down with the kettle when folded unless with risk for breakage you force them to do so, I give the product 5 stars despite it. The thin transport bag works just fine, but if you are using your kettle over open fire the greasy soot from the kettle can go through the bag, for me though this hasn't yet caused other objects getting dirty as when the kettle bag was stuffed together amongst other things in the same pack. A side note on Eagle Products. As I stated I use the kettle over open fire, mostly, and it works great. Being happy with the kettle I later bought an Eagle Product stainless steel 24 cm diameter frying pan. The frying pan doesn't work over open fire in my opinion, the bottom is VERY thin for a frying pan and warps and the food burns badly for me as well as making the pan a chore to clean, I haven't tried the pan with other heat sources.
