Our websites use cookies for the purposes of storing a customer's shopping basket, and for website usage tracking (Google Analytics). Cookies may be disabled in the customer's web browser, although this may affect usability of the site, especially our Online Shop. Google Analytics data is automatically deleted after 14 months.
Personal Information
Personal information is collected by Woodlore for the purposes of our customers purchasing products from our Online Shop, booking a Woodlore course, or subscribing to the Woodlore mailing list. All visits to the Woodlore website provide us with your visiting IP address and User Agent (web browser software) name and version information.
Customer information entered is used for the shipping of goods and for the sending of course information. Email addresses are used to send immediate confirmations of orders placed and course bookings made. Order tracking details will be sent via email for UK orders sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24, Royal Mail Special Delivery and Parcelforce, and for all International orders. Email addresses are also used to request feedback from our customers regarding clothing and equipment purchased and courses attended.
With age restricted sales, Woodlore has a legal obligation to verify the customer's age before their order can be despatched. If Woodlore is unable to verify the customer's age via an online check of the UK Electoral Roll, email addresses and phone numbers are used to request further information from customers. From January 2020 Woodlore also has the legal obligation to perform age verification upon delivery to UK addresses. This process will be completed by Royal Mail and Parcelforce; complying with the “Challenge 25” initiative. Should the trusted courier have any reason to believe that the acceptant of the package is under 25 year of age, a valid form of ID (e.g. Passport, Drivers Licence) will be requested before delivery of the package is completed. To assist our couriers in making the delivery process as smooth as possible, Woodlore may provide couriers with contact details so that you are aware of a potential ID check upon delivery.
Your email address is also stored by Woodlore for the purposes of tracking abandoned shopping baskets and for sending email reminders (for which an opt-out is available).
Our mailing list requires the customer to provide an email address to receive regular updates. Unsubscription is under the user's complete control in respect of the mailing list; the user is sent details of how to unsubscribe when initially signing up.
Any personal information collected will not be disclosed to any other third party, except in the case of cooperating with law enforcement agencies to aid in identifying those persons using our services for illegal activities. Information may be given even without a subpoena or court order if we believe such illegal activity is being conducted through our services.
Woodlore is required under UK tax law to keep basic customer personal information (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.
At any point customers can request to see their personal information stored by Woodlore, require Woodlore to have it corrected and, in certain situations, have it deleted where there is no good reason for Woodlore to continue to process it.
E-commerce payment gateway
Our e-commerce provider is PaySafe (formerly Netbanx) who are PCI compliant - www.paysafe.com. All purchases are encrypted using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) standard. Woodlore are a HTTPS everywhere website; every page of our website is encrypted.
Customer Reviews
Customer Reviews can be indexed by 3rd party search engines and therefore customer names may appear in some search results, if provided, e.g. Google. You may leave an alias when reviewing items.
