  This is the first time I have ordered this soap and I really like the smokey pine scent and have used it to wash, shave and shampoo. It makes a nice creamy lather and is a pleasure to use. I have also tried it out to do a bit of clothes hand-washing and washing dishes and it does both tasks well and I could not detect any smokey residue on the clothes or dishes. This was just a trial at home, but you could take a bar as your all-in-one cleaning solution when camping, or travelling, and you would not be disappointed. I've already used two of the four bars supplied, so will no doubt re-order at some point. A useful item to add to an order to reach the threshold to qualify for free postage.

  This was an impulse purchase during a visit to the new shop in East Sussex. I was attracted by the aroma, which is noticable as soon as you enter the shop. The Missus says it reminds her of bonfire smoke, but I disagree, it's a lot more subtle. I've always preferred bar soap to gunk in plastic bottles but I've been disappointed lately by the shrinkflation of the products on the high street - I want a proper-sized bar not something like one of those complimentary things in hotels. Anyway, having used this soap now, I recommend it.

  Purchased as I have moved away from company’s that fill their products with chemicals and fillers. Bar does what it is meant to do, gets you clean. Upon opening, the fragrance is quite strong and smells of pine tar and wood smoke. But the scent is far milder on myself once dry. So not my first choice on a date night, but for work, and camping trips it’s the one I take. Service great from Woodlore team.

  I have used this soap for several years now. I have regularly bought it from this site. The purchase process is quick and easy, the delivery excellent. The soap is kind to my skin and also good for hair. It works in hard and soft water. The smell may not be to everyone's taste but it does not hang around and smells quite pleasant after it has been used. I find that each bar lasts approximately a month. I stick the remnants of the last bar onto the new one and therefore I have no waste. I shall continue using it.

  I’ve been using Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap for years; I use it for everything. Personal washing, shaving using a brush for lathering, clothes while camping. It’s good to the last tiny bit! I love the smoky aroma but it doesn’t leave me smelling like a campfire :-)

  I've been using this for years now and love it. Theres something about it that feels so much better and more comfortable than modern gells etc, I love the smell too. I wash my hair with it and it even works well for washing dishes if the need arises.
