The Scandinavian Axe is a full sized, two-handed axe from Gransfors, individually stamped with the maker's initials and also embossed with the exclusive Ray Mears logo.

This axe is of excellent quality, hand-forged and made using traditional Swedish methods. With a helve of 64cm long, an experienced axe user will have sufficient strength to use it one-handed.

Ray reserves this axe for use almost exclusively in boreal forests in winter where the demands of limbing (removing) snow-covered branches and chopping into the tight grain of slow-growing timber present tough work. This is a beautiful axe to use, with a pleasing weight and swing.
