The Grohmann Slimline Pocket Knife is a comfortable and lightweight, single-blade UK legal folding knife from Canada. With a non-locking blade made from high-carbon stainless steel, the Slimline Pocket Knife is finished with a rosewood handle for a classic look. Top quality components are used throughout (nickel silver bolsters, brass liners and pins, and a stainless steel spring), creating a sturdy knife that's built to last.

The Slimline Pocket Knife has been used by Ray Mears for many years now, most notably in his BBC series Northern Wilderness. He can also be seen using the knife in the DVD extras of his Bushcraft Survival series, when showing how to make a matchbox from birch bark.

Grohmann Knives were traditionally designed and crafted to meet the demands faced by those who made a living from, or survived in, the Canadian wilderness. Now, over sixty years later, Grohmann Knives are still proudly produced in the same town, yet are recognised and respected around the world for their exceptional beauty, balance and quality. Over the years they have won more than 25 international honours, including a display at New York's prestigious Museum of Modern Art.

All folding knives should always be used with caution.

Overall pleased with the knife. Comfortable for light to medium task. The steel hold a good edge and easy to sharpen. Fit and finish is very good. Only downside is the knife closes fairly easy without moderate pressure compared to my other slip joint.

Amazing quality knife. Also 'street legal' in the UK. I saw this being used by Ray to cut Birch bark, it's a very good penknife of excellent quality. It isn't made in China like most other knives. This one is from Canada and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a good penknife, good stuff Ray, regards Julian.

Sharp out of the box, very well made with good fit and finish. Ideal if looking for a more traditional style slip joint pocket knife which is non locking. Looks like it will age nicely, may well be handed down one day!

Simply does what it says on the tin. Great little folding knife, that came shaving sharp straight out of the box. Fits perfectly in the pocket as is, but made a small leather slip case to keep it nice and shiny and protected. Mainly used as an 'EDC' knife, but used it to make both a birch bark needle case and a birch bark food container (in which Ray himself uses this model of knife). If anyone wanted a small knife to either carry on a day to day basis, or as a small camp knife this would be perfect. If you wanted to put a whole lot of pressure through the knife i wouldn't particularly suggest this, that being it is a folding knife rather than a fixed blade. Despite that, it is a great little knife that anyone should be proud to own and use. Best way to describe this knife is a 'grandfather' knife, smart and straight to the point. (Pun intended) I Would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a small folding knife.

I like this knife, it has a great quality about it. The Knife is made in Nova Scotia, which is nice, with a great story as to the development of the company. The length and balance around the handle makes this a great knife to use every day. Great service from Woodlore as usual.

This is my second Grohmann - the handle has been redesigned and is slightly less elegant, but more comfortable to use. I found the knife difficult to sharpen to a razor edge, but once achieved the blade holds its edge very well. The knife is extremely well made and is a very useful all round tool. The blade geometry makes it excellent for slicing, yet it is a good whittler. It is solidly constructed with a positive action and a firm backspring. Equally at home in the house, the garden, the woods and on a picnic this is a knife to carry with you everywhere - except on a plane!

This is a quality handmade knife. It's a good, light weight (a lot lighter than my A. Wright lambfoot), back spring not too heavy to open. Perfect gentleman's pocket knife. Blade is pretty sharp out of the box. Hopefully should be more resistant to marks being stainless if you want to use it for food. Would highly recommend. Many thanks for the prompt delivery.

Arrived very quickly and well packaged. On inspection it appears well made and the single blade is sharp enough for most everyday uses. I'm very happy with the product and the price I paid for it.

Superb quality and high standard of finish by Grohmann Knives Limited of Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada. This EDC pocket knife is constructed with the finest materials to make an attractive and functional item that can be carried in your pocket. It has rosewood scales, 2 nickel silver bolsters and a really sharp stainless steel clip point blade for easy cutting of wood and other tough materials. There is no lateral movement in the slip joint of the blade within the handle. The pocket knife comes in a nice black gift box with gold lettering and instructions including a lifetime limited warranty. This beautifully hand-crafted product will give a lifetime of satisfactory use. I am really satisfied with my purchase.

A folding knife that has been made with such quality and attention to detail that you can depend upon it for most tasks, yet light enough to be carried in a trouser pocket. The blade is long and thin, ending in a point, so it is more a whittler than a carver. In fact I'm using this as a go-to utility knife; spreading the butter, peeling the spuds, cutting paracord, whittling green sticks for the Cubs' marshmallows on camp, and creating feathersticks to get the fire started.
