The Ice Bear Waterstone Sharpening Kit is a premium set of Japanese waterstones designed for axe and knife sharpening. Ice Bear have put together their most fundamental products into one handy kit, and there is quite simply no better set for someone sharpening with waterstones for the first time.

As used by Ray Mears for many years, Ice Bear's traditional Japanese waterstones offer unrivalled quality for tool sharpening. If you own a high quality knife, it's only right that you sharpen it using high quality stones.

For a more comprehensive set of sharpening stones, Ray Mears recommends adding the Ice Bear 1,200 Grit Waterstone to this kit. After sharpening your knife, Woodlore recommend the use of Ice Bear Camellia Oil to protect the blade from rust and corrosion.

Glad to have the best sharpening stones available to return my knives back to their 'just out of their box' condition. I found their 'anti-skid' clamp invaluable to stop them from skidding about on the work surface. Have taken Ray Mears' detailed advice on the best use of the sharpening stones and after carefully watching 'how it's done', I have learnt to produce quality results for myself. After looong and careful use, the stones produce THE BEST results (provided care and attention to detail is applied)....These are good sharpening stones, easily giving the highest quality results after careful self-tuition..

Excellent kit to start sharpening on! The quality of the stones is really good and I have used them on my axes and my Opinel no.12 stainless steel version and it worked without fault. I highly recommend this kit combined with the 1200 grit stone.

Ideal for use at home or in camp. The holder is very stable on a variety of surfaces and, I have sharpened many edges to a razor sharp finish with this set. The size of the stones are great for larger knives too. Make sure you put something waterproof underneath it when you use it at home though!

This product is an excellent choice for all of your blade sharpening needs. So far I have used this to sharpen bushcraft knives, axes and a Mora whittling knife. The 6000 grit stone along with the Nagura stone put a really fine polished edge to the blades. The holder is worth while and I avoided any unwanted movement when using the stones. I would recommend the additional purchase of the 1200 grit stone for a real top quality finish.
