  In one word: Wow. To elaborate a little, Astonishment, has sadly been an infrequent visitor round these parts of late. That was until this little thing popped through the letterbox! It’s simply astonishing what it can do to your old blunties. Get one, (Gift one) You’ll not be sad you did. Just glad. And quite possibly, you’ll be fairly regularly astonished too. It turns Awful in Awesome!. Astonishingly good indeed. Thank you Ray.

  The product is small (about 3”) . It’s easy to use and quite effectively sharpens my knives.

  This is one of the few knife sharpeners that I've tried that actually works. It takes very little effort to get a good edge to a blade. I normally use a stone but this is a very good alternative. Highly recommended.

  A great and simple bit of kit that works well on sharpening dull blades. I purchased this to sharpen pen knives, but the kitchen knives are now very sharp too! Good delivered price, quick delivery and it's always nice to get post from Ray Mears.

  I have a number of knives, from a Condor Bushlore, to a couple of Moras, Swiss Army Knives and an old Leatherman. I am rubbish at sharpening them. The Moras and the Bushlore weren't too bad but the rest were dull. I had tried different methods of sharpening without much success. Enter the RWS Quick Sharp. A few strokes on the ceramic rods transformed each blade from dull to sharp in no time. These blades would not, prior to sharpening, cut paper. Afterwards, they breezed through it. I will say that a bit of honing and stropping will finish things off but the difference is astonishing. There is real bite to the blades now and they will again be properly useful. Even a very cheap, 40 year old souvenir penknife I bought on holiday as a boy now feels keener and is something I can use regularly. This sharpener is a terrific piece of kit and I have no hesitation in recommending it. Combined with free delivery and swift despatch time, I have to say that I am very pleased with my purchase.

  Thought I'd give this a shot for my Mercator K55K and based on the existing reviews for it, I tested it on all my kitchen knives. Amazing! Now they are all paper cutting sharp. What a different to smashing up tomatoes. Highly recommend.

  I bought one of these for myself, it was so good I bought another for a friend for Christmas. Pocket size and very good at what it does, which is to sharpen a normal blade, the ceramic part does this. To remove small nicks and breaks on the blade use the carbide part. It is small and light and very useful and handy.

  I didn't expect it to do what it says on the tin. Being a bit of a cynic. Silly me. A great piece of kit. Highly recommended. Every knife in my flat is now sharpened to a high standard.
