The Peli Desiccant Silica Gel is a reusable Hydrosorbent unit containing 40 grams of silica gel – sufficient to protect 3 cubic feet of enclosed space – making it ideal for protecting your outdoor equipment from rust, condensation and mildew.

Top grade silica gel is contained within a tough, compact aluminum canister that measures only 4 x 2 x ½" – small enough to fit in most gun, camera and binocular cases. It is also extremely useful for preventing the corrosion and spoilage of metal surfaces such as knife blades. There is no need to worry about stains, as silica gel remains dry to the touch even when saturated. It is also chemically inert, making it safe to use with foods.

One unit provides a lifetime of protection as they are easily reactivated, indefinitely, in any oven. A transparent window on one side acts as a built-in indicator to signal the need for reactivation. When the crystals are orange, the unit is active. When they turn clear, the unit should be placed in a vented 300°F/150°C oven for three hours (or until the crystals turn orange again).
