You'll not see them on the slopes at Gstaad. Neither are they for people with small or medium hands. They are however very good, well made, hard-weather, hard-wearing mitten outers that will probably out live you and keep your hands warm and dry no matter what the elements throw at you. They are thorn/nettle proof too and You'd have to be doing something really hard core to damage or destroy them in a bushcraft scenario. I bought them to cover my Buffalo Mittens that have become thin and not so efficient. They are quite large across the hand and although the wrist strap tightens to keep them secure they still make anything more intricate than basic hand movements difficult. Opening a pocket zip is difficult for example. I reckon you'd need to remove them for stuff like that in most cases. It's taken a few days to get the hang of them but they will be with me now at all times, either in my rucksack or pocket. Certainly in Winter, Spring and Autumn, as I get cold hands when out in windy, wet weather, and I know I won't with these on top of my Buffalo's! Although classed as 'used' mine hadn't been issued or worn and were as new as if bought from the manufacturer. Well worth the money and a good buy compared to the usual brands of high quality weather proof mittens. Usual fault free service from Woodlore, so thank you.
