These Woolpower Ullfrotte Original Mittens are perfect for use either on their own or under a thinner over-mitten, such as our Leather Over-Mittens, as pictured. Thanks to their thick merino wool construction, they provide exceptional warmth and comfort in the coldest conditions. Typically, mittens will provide a safer level of warmth than gloves.

A bit large for me so am in the process of trying to wash them smaller! Otherwise again the quality is excellent. Regardless if they shrink a little or not, I will make great use of them.

Although bought for a friend I am impressed by the quality of the gloves and feel they will be highly suitable for sub-arctic conditions, especially if used with a protective outer glove and perhaps a light inner glove. I will give thought to whether I will buy a set for myself too!

As with the rest of the Ullfrotte range, a very high quality product, very warm even when damp. One down side is that the double layers can slide around, especially when using over mittens; this is easy to solve by putting a single stitch in the end off the mitten.
