A good piece of cold-weather kit to have, particularly when it's not Tee-Shirt weather.

  Wonderful piece of kit. I’m a big believer in having good quality base layers and usually go for Marino wool products. Having read previous reviews and trust in Woodlore’s quality products, I new I was safe in giving this turtle neck a go. Size as exactly stated. I ordered a L and I’m a 42 inch chest 6ft tall and it’s a perfect fit. The turtle neck is perfectly long in the body to cover your bum. The weather hasn’t been cold enough in Britain yet to get a true feel for its thermal properties, but feeling the comforting material against the skin, I have no doubts that this will be a perfect addition to my base layering.

  Comfort and warmth straight from the box. Fit and hang is exceptional. I haven't had it off. Wish I had bought one years ago. The surface is fluffy after use so not sure how it will hold up over time. Good zip. Best base layer I have ever owned. This teamed with a thin merino underneath, a Swanndri bushshirt and a windproof is a cracking set up. The length covers the bum and groin which I like alot. Going to order the 400g to see whats its like and expect good things.

  Absolutely fantastic base layer and general attire. I used this 200g and the 400g from Woolpower on a recent expedition to the Arctic and it was absolutely first class. I found that it kept me warm enough to be comfortable, but also allowed me to run cold enough to not sweat excessively - a valuable dual benefit in such low temperatures. I found that in an environment without clothes washing facilities it is perfect for me due to the ease of airing out. I took x2 200g zip-turtlenecks with me and had no problems with maintaining good personal hygiene. It would have been an entirely different story with synthetic base layers. I am thrilled with this product and will be hard pressed to find anything I prefer any time soon. The sizing guide and fit is accurate, it allows for air to be trapped close to the body without being too baggy and cumbersome. I also like how it is a bit longer than one would expect, meaning you won't experience any untucking and therefore cold spots when reaching overhead or adding/removing any layers of clothing. Top drawer!

  This top is warm the moment you put it on. It has very generous length in the body and arms so no worries about any uncomfortable draughts. I wore it on a frosty evening with just a wind proof outter and it was very cosy whilst cycling.

  I purchased this item in spring 2021 just in case there is a price increase later this year, it is a very well made item and fitted perfectly. I was worried when I ordered it that the turtleneck might be annoying on the underside of my chin like some garments are but it was still soft enough when in contact. It has been a bit chilly where I live in the east of England but probably not cold enough to test it fully, I think it will do the job it was purchased for with flying colours. A decent bit of kit for the money, glad I got it.
