The Karrimor SF Sabre 75 Rucksack is a superb outdoor pack designed for heavy use in demanding conditions. With crampon loops and ice axe holders, the Sabre 75 was originally designed for mountaineering, but has been adopted heavily for camping and Bushcraft use. The Sabre 75 is a reliable and durable load carriage system which has been tried-and-tested by Ray Mears for well over a decade.

The Sabre 75 features a single main compartment with a capacity of 75 litres. Additional storage space can be added by attaching the Karrimor Side Pockets or other PLCE-compatible accessories.

This rucksack utilises a removable F-Format frame, which can be shaped to fit the wearers back. The S-shaped shoulder harness conforms to the user's torso which, along with the hip belt and sternum strap, helps you to maintain your balance while on the move.

A supremely durable 1000 Denier Nylon is used for the vast majority of the pack, offering long-lasting strength. This is then given a silicone/PU elastomer coating for improved tear strength, and finally a DWR finish for better water repellency.

Sewn ventilation channels, a Coolmesh-covered hip belt and lumbar and scapula pads help to wick away perspiration maintaining comfort, thereby increasing your effectiveness over prolonged periods of exertion.

This bag is excellent. All the features are listed in the description, and there are plenty of reviews on YouTube singing it's praises, so all I'll add is that, compared to smaller bags with less padding, this can happily carry a double sleeping bag, single bag, 3-man tent, trangia, wash kit, forest axe, couple of knives, compass, med kit, water, cook-set, and two air-mats easily and still somehow feel manageable. The padding is fantastic and the bag is endlessly adjustable for comfort. Yet to take it out and check durability, but everything fits that I've had to share between two bags and a trolley when camping in the past, which will make carrying the kids when they get tired a whole lot easier. You can get a family camping trip in this bag, I did need the side-pockets for that, though. I think without these pockets it would be a great solo-camping/bushcraft bag, but in all honesty, I'd carry a lot less if it was just me, and take a smaller bag. It would be great for multi-night solo excursions, carrying food etc, for a comfortable, longer trip. Could live out of this thing. Thanks for a great price on a great bag!

After so much trial and error with rucksacks this is the best I have ever used. Worth every penny. Added the Side Pockets which I would say is a must and even bought my wife one with side pockets. So comfortable under heavy load and I can get all my kit in wherever I get sent. Love it.

Very light, huge, plenty of add ons. Very well designed. A total pleasure to use. One previous review mentioned the waist strap was too high but it actually sits perfectly on the hips taking the load off your shoulders. Very highly recommended.

Although I've only used this Bergen once my early impression is that it's a great bit of kit. I've carried everything I've needed for two nights camping inside the pack. I had my Akto tent, bivvy bag, 4 season bag, Exped 9 down mat, Trangia, water, food and toilet and first aid kit as well as a change of clothes. There is lots of adjustment and it's very easy and comfortable to carry during a days walk.

Great pack. Bit on the heavy side, but it is built like a tank. Lots of attachment points. I like three compression straps on each side. You can really tighten your load or attach other pieces of gear. The big zippered compartment on the front is great to carry your poncho. The padding on shoulder straps and waist belt is thick and comfortable. The pack is big, so you can easily overload it. All in all a very well-thought-out piece of gear; well worth the money. Before I bought this one I used the Karrimor Alpinist 55, and it served me for 25 years without fail. Will see how this one does in the long run.

I have the forty litre version, and this is again a good soild piece of kit. It takes the detachable side pockets from the other bags in the range, and will fit enough kit for a few nights out in cold conditions.

A truly exceptional rucksack, the materials and build quality is second to none, I have tried and tested many rucksack's over the years, nothing compares to this rucksack. It is truly built to be worked hard and durable enough to last many years.

ordered this rucksack for a trip to australia and the far east, very well built and comfy. managed to fit every thing for the trip in to this with room to spare. postage was very fast and i was very happy with woodlore and there service. havnt seen the need for the extra side pockets yet so i wouldnt advice anyone buying them till a later date. plenty of attachment points on this sack and the internal compartment is a easy shape to pack neatly. very happy with this 5 out of 5 jason

Craftsmanship: 5/5 You get what you paid for. Details were taken care of, everywhere. Material: 5/5 It is only water repellent. But you can waterproof it by using Nikwax Tech Wash + TX Direct. Overall: 5/5 KSF Sabre 75 is not inexpensive. Nevertheless, it is not overpriced among rucksacks with similar capacity. Rather I would say KSF Sabre 75 represents good value. Plenty of compression straps to keep things tight. Generously padded shoulder straps and waist straps, which I consider to be crucial for rucksacks over 40 litres. The back size of KSF Sabre 75 is NOT adjustable. You may want to try it on before purchase. In case you wondered, I am 5' 11', normal build, and I find KSF Sabre 75 to be just right.
