Ray Mears Leather Solid D-Ring Belt Dangler

The Ray Mears Leather Solid D-Ring Belt Dangler has been designed to slide onto your belt and provide a handy place to clip and carry a variety of items.

We have been asked numerous times to produce a 'belt dangler' so here we are starting with it in its simplest form. This free running loop slides onto your belt and provides a home for anything that has a clip on it or that you want to thread through the D-ring such as keys, gloves, lanyards, dog lead etc.

Hand cut from a strap of full grain vegetable tanned leather in the unique Woodlore Rich Brown colour with hand burnished edges in dark brown and sporting the discreet Ray Mears 'Snowshoe' logo. This dangler carries a substantial solid cast brass harness D that has no gaps or joins and an internal width of 30 mm. It is held together with solid brass domed Chicago screws which can be undone if desired to swap in your own preferred fitting. A wax finish gives a subtle burnished sheen to the leather.

Sturdy enough to take some weight but slim enough to sit comfortably and discreetly on your belt, the dangler has been designed to work perfectly with the Ray Mears Leather Belt but will accommodate belts up to 50 mm in width depending on the thickness. We think you will find a host of ways to use this useful addition to your belt be it in pursuit of Bushcraft and outdoor activities or just a handy place to secure important things on an everyday basis.

The occasional application of a greasy leather food such as Leather Balm will keep the leather looking its best and prolong the life of the dangler. The brass can be polished if desired with a metal polishing cloth.

All of our leather and canvas goods are hand-made by Woodlore's resident leather worker Becky Brewster, a craftswoman with over three decades of experience. The leather used in this product is vegetable tanned with full, natural grain and hand-dyed in house to the unique Woodlore colour.
