The NITECORE HC65 V2 is an extremely powerful headtorch with five brightness levels, three light sources and three special modes. It features a built-in intelligent li-ion battery charging circuit with a USB-C charging port, can be used in extreme temperatures and can be operated with one hand.

This headtorch has a maximum output of 1750 lumens from the Luminus SST-40-W LED and is powered by 1 x 18650 8A li-ion battery (included). The battery is rechargeable via a USB-C port at the side of the light and takes approximately 2 hours 25 minutes to fully charge.

The HC65 V2 features three light sources including the primary white light, an auxiliary red light and a high CRI auxiliary white light. The red light can effectively protect night vision and is ideal for watching wildlife, stargazing, emergency use and night photography. The warm CRI>90 white light is suitable for short range illumination and resembles the warmth of sunlight, giving a sharp visual whilst reducing eye strain.

All outputs are operated by a single button on the top of the light for fast, intuitive activation. The power button also has a built-in power indicator which will flash to show the battery voltage.

The unibody TIR lens system reflects soft, uniform light and can produce several outputs with an ultra thin, lightweight body.

Wow. Very pleased with the Nitecore. I bought it to replace a favoured LED Lenser which I had mislaid, but it has now become my new favourite - despite finding the LED Lenser! Excellent, robust construction, long battery life between charges, light to wear and very bright. I thought I’d miss the Lenser’s zoom facility, but the Nitecore manages to provide a great floodlight so the spotlight isn’t needed. Some reviews say using the button to scroll through the lighting options is a bit of a faff. Haven’t found that to be the case - it’s a straightforward process and took me precisely one reading of the instructions to get it and I’m not the quickest with this sort of thing. All in all, a great product from my favourite supplier, Woodlore.

A robust headtorch. I really like the metal body and while the settings are a bit complicated they are easy enough to learn. Very powerful throw but obviously drains the battery. A more reserved setting means light for several nights.

Comfortable to wear, not heavy. Charging easy with USB. Full beam setting is amazing. Makes descending Scottish hills in the mirk a bit easier. Well built and worth the extra money.

This was not the cheapest head lamp on the market, but once it had been delivered you can feel it is high quality. This is a well made item and should last a lifetime, therefore very good value for money. Switching through the options for the two lights is not immediately intuitive, but you quickly get used to it. The actual lamp assembly feels as if it is going to be heavy to wear, but once you've got the head straps adjusted correctly, it is quite comfortable for everyday use. Even for those of us with not much thatch on top. Overall I'm pleased with this product, and I would recommend it to others. It's always worth spending a little bit extra to get the best.

When this arrived I thought it solid, but heavy on the head, and the use of the various light functions non intuitive. I found the ability to adjust brightness a big plus and the weight in use was not an issue for the work I was doing. That said I think for walking at night I would prefer a lighter weight on my forehead mitigated if your wearing a hat. I used this at for maybe two hours on max brightness not Turbo and when hooked up for recharge was impressed it claimed to still be fully charge so the long run time I expect to prove out which is great.

Completely worth the money. There are so many features on this headtorch. I urge you to check it out on social media. There are similar headtorches out there with less features and cost more. One of the features on this torch will even last for up to six months. The torch comes with a 18650 rechargeable battery but you can also buy CR123a or the rechargeable RCR123a batteries for spares which will give you a longer runtime. Woodlore also sells the PowerPax battery holder for these which glow in the dark so you can find your spares at night. I highly recommend this headtorch.

This head torch was recommended by a friend and as normal his recommendation was spot on. After taking some time to go through and learn the controls for the various light functions, I was ready to give it a test run on a night hike. The main light has a number of brightness settings and the beam is more than sufficient to light the trail ahead. The wide bands provide a good adjustable fit and it felt stable/comfortable after a couple of hours walking. I find the light angle adjustment a little stiff but I'm sure this will give a little and is definitely better than being too loose. Charging was very easy and the battery indicator feature is a nice touch. I have bought a backup none rechargable just incase. The battery indicators blue light also backs up as light which can be left on intermitant flash so that you can find it in your bag in the dark. This head torch was quite an upgrade on my Petzl and the quality is awesome. I don't normally write reviews but I definately felt that this torch deserved it. I am now confident to embark on my next adventures knowing this won't let me down.
