My first Gransfors, after years of Elwells and Gilpins, Bahcos and others.. A beautiful, tiny hatchet. I bought it for a couple of jobs, carving and hunting. It's small enough to carry in my game bag without knowing it's there, and it's perfect for use as a priest and for chopping rabbit legs which will spoil a knife. I have re-shaped the bulbous end of the beech handle and will continue to do so until it's a perfect fit for my hand. The blade is about 3 degrees out of line with the handle which is fine and helps with carving - luckily I'm right handed. On such a tiny forged head I would be surprised if it were any closer to in-line. It came shaving sharp. Altogether, very happy. It was the last one available in the country, so I was glad to get it. Thanks Woodlore!
