The Sea to Summit Waterproof Map Case is a fully waterproof, dust-proof and freeze-proof protective sleeve that is exceptionally tough and resistant to the demands of the trail. Its thick material can be rolled and folded without creasing or cracking in cold conditions.

A welded, seam-free construction and reliable rolltop closure provide reliable protection from the elements, while the flexible, UV-proof material won't discolour over time. This replaced an Ortlieb one and I wanted to try something else after many years use. This one is fit for purpose thus far, though I would have preferred a wider velcro seal much like the Ortlieb version had making for easier closure.The lanyards need to be removeable; I tend to carry my A4 map copies in my cargo trouser pocket and a non-removable lanyard has the potential to catch something if you're not very careful.
