Pyramid Trek Natural Insect Repellent - 100 ml Pump Spray

  I have used this insect repellent before and have been very happy. It has a great smell. However, this time I was bitten quite a lot even when reapplying. Maybe, I need to ‘up the anti’ and have one with deet, although this is something I’d prefer to avoid.

  Horse/deer flies like my blood a lot. I don't like them. I've tried several insect repellents over the last few years which have either not worked at all or have had limited success. This, so far (I've only used it on two occasions in the recent hot UK weather and the flies, although out and about, are yet to be in full attack mode) appears to be effective. Out gardening and in woodland all day and no bites. It's a gel, as opposed to a mist/spray, and a little seems to go a long way and persists. Not an unpleasant odour to boot! Early days, but it's efficacy is very promising.

  Kept the bugs away. Camped by a river for a few days and not one single bite. Also used this product whilst walking in areas with Tic warnings and did not have any problems.

  Great Insect Repellent! This kept me tick-free in the Lake District for a week even though I only used it on ankles, wrists and neck. One other person had over a dozen ticks in the same time frame, only counting the ones that actually bit. Better than the midge & tick repellent from Trek which caused a skin reaction - yet another person switching to my preferred insect repellent.

  Smells like citrus. Leaves an oily like texture but dries away very quickly, almost like a moisturiser. Works very well as a repellent coming from someone who is usually bitten a lot.

  Pleasant smell, does not irritate skin. I use this before my early morning swims. Excellent product, best I have found.

  Incredibly impressed with this non-DEET spray. I used it on my arms, head, face and ankles and I avoided tick and mosquito bites all week. The only place I got bitten was on the knuckles where I had washed my hands and clearly removed the spray. (This is actually a pump action which is even nicer). After memories of using 60% DEET in Asia years ago and how unpleasant it makes your skin feel and smell, this was great - the smell is nice too. I don't know how it would compare to DEET in Asia or Africa when you need to avoid malaria and dengue, but for my last trip in the UK with Woodlore I was very happy with this Pyramid Tre Insect Repellent.

  In Northern Thailand, this is as good as the repellent with DEET. Only negative is that it does not spray a mist but comes out in stream and then you just rub. I would suggest the manufacturer to change the nozzle. Great product though.

  Great stuff, does not melt plastic like deet based products do.
