A bit like The Godfather 2, good in parts. After a couple of trips out with this purchase these are my impressions. The good: A lightweight large tarp that does the job. It's about 10 oz lighter than the 'Hoochie' Tarp, so good when carrying with other kit. The not so good: The guy lines provided are a waste of time, they are too thin and don't hold the tarp rigid enough, so I bought some of the Tarp lines used with the Aussie 'Hoochie' Tarp. It's lighter construction than the 'Hoochie' so I'm not sure whether it's going to be as hard wearing only time will tell. I'm not too happy with the 'holes' with the brass inserts. They seem a bit flimsy compared to the Hoochie I used on my Fundamental Bushcraft Course, but again time will tell. Overall if carrying weight is important then it's the right choice. However, if long life and more robust construction is needed I'd go for the Aussie 'Hoochie' model. If you add in the cost for the extra guy lines they are roughly the same price anyway. I knocked off a star each for the lines and corner brass rings. Usual good service from Woodlore.
