The Icebreaker Oasis Short Sleeve Crewe is a warm yet extremely lightweight base layer made from 100% merino wool. With a fabric weight of 200 gsm, it is perfect for year-round use in the outdoors in cold to warm conditions.

Designed to be worn solo or as a highly insulating base layer, the Oasis Crewe makes ideal active wear for cycling, hiking and skiing, as well as everyday use. Millions of merino fibres lock in body heat in the cold, but are highly breathable so you don't overheat - much like a natural thermostat. This breathability also allows perspiration to be wicked away, leaving the garment fresher for longer.

The superfine merino wool is soft against the skin, while design features such as offset shoulder seams and anti-chafe seams add extra comfort. A new drop-tail hem gives added coverage from the cold, while the shirt has a slim fit for easy layering.

There are ecological benefits too, in that the material used is of course completely natural, biodegradable and sustainable, while production methods are ensured to be both environmentally and socially ethical.

Icebreaker is an ecological clothing system built from the superfine wool of the merino - a mountain sheep that lives in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The merino's wool keeps it warm and dry across all seasons; it will do the same for you.

You can never go wrong with Icebreaker and this one is no exception. It's a perfect base layer for warm/cold climates. The moisture wicking is superb and I really enjoy it. Worth every single penny many thanks to Woodlore team for providing it here with a good price.

I was a little bit hesitant about buying the Icebreaker top because of the price, but I would easily recommend this to anybody else. There was a little mixup with my order; I'd just like to say that the customer service was excellent.
