These Noble Wilde Fingerless Gloves have been created from a special blend of fine merino wool and insulating possum fur, making them a luxurious winter glove that will provide a superb amount of warmth while remaining extremely light in weight. The idea of blending these two natural fibres was first developed by a New Zealand knitter as a by-product of the possum control programme, making the merino/possum blend an environmentally sound choice.

For many years now, Woodlore have stocked the Noble Wilde Beanie, a best-selling item which has proved extremely popular among our fellow outdoorsmen and women year after year. As such, it seemed like an obvious choice to also stock their fingerless gloves. If you're a fan of their hats, these gloves will no doubt be a welcome addition to your winter wardrobe.

Possum fur is one of the most extraordinary natural fibres in the world, thanks to its hollow core; this cavity traps a tunnel of air that provides extraordinary warmth (up to 30% more than standard woollen garments), while keeping the fibre's weight to a minimum.

Merino wool also has unique characteristics; each fibre is exceptionally fine, long and densely crimped, helping to retain heat close to the skin while keeping out cold air. The fibre also wicks moisture away from the skin, allowing the wool to stay warm and dry. The combination of merino wool with possum fur results in a fabric that is lightweight, twice as warm as wool, highly resistant to pilling and opulently soft to the touch.

Two synthetic fibres have been added to the mix. These fibres help to provide a hard-wearing outer surface to the gloves, while retaining just the right amount of stretch to give a firm fit to the hand. Please note these gloves are a snug fit; as such we would recommend choosing the next size up if you are unsure of the correct sizing.

I bought these for my husband who suffers from cold hands quite often. They have certainly done the trick! He says they’re warm, comfortable and don’t interfere with his dexterity, as they’re not at all bulky despite their warmth. I think they also look good — a plus because he wears them quite a lot. How did we cope beforehand? Thank you for another quality product.

Wonderful gloves , this is my second pair as my wife kept stealing my first ones. Surprisingly warm and hard wearing l would thoroughly recommend these gloves. Woodlore also sell these much cheaper than anywhere else plus their service is unprecedented.

These are the first pair of fingerless gloves I've owned so I can't compare them to others, however I have used Noble Wilde hats for years so know they're generally warm. Apart from the obvious, the rest of my hands stay warm, they're not bulky and do seem to block the wind out and they are ideal when you need a bit of dexterity. The colour is subdued, which is partly why I bought them. I've worn them in UK temps down to -1, with some windchill. At this temperature your exposure time is limited though. Well made and accurate sizing 9.5 (large).

Gloves fit great. Love the feel and warmth. Customer service is very responsive and fast.Fast shipping from the UK, took about a little over a week to arrive, pretty fast from overseas. I would recommend getting these gloves while they are in stock, they sold out fast last year and winter was over before they were able to restock.
