As expected a quality piece of kit at excellent value! The Akto, in my opinion, will be my go shelter for year round adventures. The quality is unmistakable. I’ve had many tents tarps and bivi’s during my 30 years of outdoor adventures from a variety of brands, however, the Hilleberg brand and Akto is clearly the Rolex of Tents and brands. The footprint is a must for longevity. Delivered in good time and perfect condition. An awesome purchase.

I have used this tent three times now and usually I use a two-man tent, this is my first time in a one-man tent. I am impressed with how roomy it is,
the flysheet goes all the way to the ground, there is a nice gap between the inner tent and the outer, overall it's a quality product. There are copies lighter than this design but these are brands I have used before in what I consider testing conditions.
So far very pleased with the tent and a great price.

Bought this Tent for lightweight backpacking in Scotland. A great design with some nice features to make the tent easy to put up in bad weather, either wind or rain. It’s not the lightest, but I bought this as a trade off between robust and reliable and lightweight. It looks like it will cope with the worst of Scottish weather better than my previous tent. Very comfortable for one man, I am sure you could fit more, but I would opt for the Nallo 2 if needing more space.

Whilst I have not used this actual tent yet, I have owned and used an Akto in the past and been really pleased with it. This purchase is an 'upgrade' to the current model with some design tweaks, and also to the 'Sand' colour, which is a brilliant camouflage colour when wild camping. The tent is very roomy for a 'solo' but remains lightweight whilst also being very tough. It is also very easy and quick to erect.

Fairly light tent, well put together. Very, very easy to put up. Love this tent.

Great quality tent as one would expect from Hilleberg. There are lighter ones on the market but you lose strength and durability. Sand (light brown to most of us) is a great colour for blending into the British moors and mountains. Some people say it's big enough for two but its not, it's definitely a one man tent but with plenty of room for gear in the porch area and the inner.

Great tent. Is perfect size for 1 man, could fit 2 if needed. I love the colour. Took it to New Forest and it blends right in. Yes, it cost a lot but so does replacing broken tents every few years. The folks at Woodlore answered my e-mails straight away and were very helpful.

Worthy of hype. Ingenious design - such simplicity and ease of use; great use of space - my wife is small and can fit inside with me, although if attempting this yourself make sure you know whoever it is joining you very well indeed. The footprint is a no brainer - makes it easier to roll-up and doesnt add much weight at all - and it really is light! Sand colour a nice touch.

This is a very good tent. A lot of this is down to the attention to detail in its design. The ventilation system, which can be zipped closed while still remaining breathable, allows for extra warmth in cold weather. The single pole can be pushed in from one side without having to go round to the other side of the tent to anchor it. The wedge shape of the tent tends to push it down in a wind; I camped on a Welsh mountain pass on a breezy night and I had no worries about the tent blowing down. The Kerlon fabric does feel different to the usual tent fabrics, being thinner and less stretchy, but also very strong. The tent is easy to pitch and the guying system works very well; mine was anchored to a rock on the windward side. It is also nice to get good quality tent pegs for a change, but a couple of spares would have been nice. For use in very high winds some extra optional pegging and guying points would be useful, although they wouldn't be necessary in the majority of conditions. I also think that a tent bag made of a breathable fabric would allow the tent to dry a bit during a days walk. Some fixing points on the tent bag would be nice too, as I often tie my tent to the outside of my rucksack.
