19th - 29th January 2027 Ten Days Inside the Arctic Circle, Into the White Silence
ARCTIC BUSHCRAFT with Ray Mears
A Remote Winter Expedition in the Great Northern Forest.
Train in –40°C.
Explore the vast Northern Taiga.
Learn to call the arctic forest home.
This is not a winter holiday.
It is a return to something older, deeper, and more demanding.
Few environments on Earth command such complete presence. Stretching as an almost unbroken belt across North America and Eurasia, the Taiga is the largest continuous forest biome in the world. Towering pines, resilient spruces, and birches dominate the landscape, while lynx, wolf, bear, wolverine, and reindeer roam freely. It is a place of silence, resilience, and raw beauty, a truly magical setting to learn the art of Arctic bushcraft. Here, in temperatures that can fall below –40°C, you will learn to live, travel, and thrive in extreme winter wilderness. Guided by Ray Mears and the expert instructors at Woodlore, this is authentic Arctic bushcraft at its absolute best, not adventure tourism.
