Chris Waugh’s hand finished Large Crooked Knife Blade

The following article was kindly sent in by Woodlore customer Chris Waugh, and features the S. Djarv Hantverk Large Crooked Knife Blade, which is currently on special offer at £45.00 while stocks last:

Dear Ray and all at Woodlore,

I purchased the Large Crooked Knife Blade (Right Handed) not too long ago from you all, and I just wanted to send you my pictures of the finished knife! I used a beautiful piece of South American Cocobolo wood to make my handle:

It was hard work with such a hard wood but it was great fun and very rewarding! I’m supper happy with the results… But I’d love to know what Ray, you all, and everyone else on your blog thinks!

Thank you for a great blade and the hours of fun it has brought me!

Sincerely, Chris Waugh

Wow Chris, I have recently made one of these knife handles and I must say yours is quite more symetrical than mine. I also made it out of very hard wood (olive) so I know what it is to carve it, but how solid the final object is!
