Swazi
Ray discovered Swazi several years ago and could regularly be seen wearing their distinctive Tahr Anorak. He liked their products and their motto - If we can't make the best product there is, we won’t make it. This challenge led to Ray and Swazi working closely together to produce a modified version of the ever popular Tahr Anorak.Swazi are a New Zealand based company who have been designing and manufacturing high performance outdoor clothing for almost ten years. All their products are exhaustively tested by experienced professionals well before they are produced in the harshest environment around the world.
Swazi are known world-wide for producing the world's most durable outdoor clothing. Garments are produced in New Zealand by people with immense pride in their craft. Each individual item carries a unique label with the name of its creator.
It is a company whose business is all about people. People make their products, people buy their products and people wear their products. Davey Hughes the founder of Swazi strongly believes that if you look after your people you look after yourself. He believes in his staff and his staff believe in Swazi.
Swazi have developed a Corporate Division and can offer high performance clothing and equipment to organisations seeking to improve the safety, comfort and productivity of their personnel, as well as to enhance their own corporate image. They also sponsor each year a large number of events and get involved with many aspects of outdoor community.
Davey Hughes strongly believes in keeping his production based in New Zealand and that his team will continue to innovate, test and produce products which are amongst the very, very best available in the world. Return profit by way of sponsorship and involvement with worthy and fun causes and last but not least promises to retain a sense of humour.
The Swazi ethos is one that Ray and The Woodlore Team are proud to be associated with and this is why we stock and recommend Swazi products.
The following is a recent statement received from Davey Hughes:
As a company we journey through life constantly finding ourselves setting higher and higher goals. We consciously raise our own expectations, as well as that of our customers, not only for the products we create, but for our behaviour and attitude to our environment. All the time seeking to inspire. To innovate. To surprise.I am so especially pleased the team at Woodlore represent Swazi. The synergy and bond between the two companies is exceptionally strong. Our love of the outdoors and simple things that function extremely well is fundamental to that bond. That, and of course the fact we both approach life with a wicked sense of humour!
