In the world of woodcraft, the axe has long been accorded the same degree of affection as its cousin the canoe. Today, the knowledge of how to use it properly has been all but lost; in bushcraft however, the axe still lives on. Traditionally, the type and size of axe depended on its intended purpose. Consequently, we stock a wide range of axe designs - all hand-forged by Swedish company Gransfors Bruks - from felling axes to axes for spitting and driving wedges
